I'm creating an iRadio radio station and am asking for your help.

It will ONLY stream NON copyrighted material.
It will only be available to listen to for a few hours a day (to start with).
It will be available when iRadio v3.1 is released.

So far I have some music for these genre:
Jazz - Smooth & Ambient
Reggae
Reggae Dub
Trance

-- \:\) What you can do to help out \:\) --
I'm looking for more NON copyrighted music for these and other genres.

***If you are in or know of a band that wants airplay I'm willing to stream your music.
It CANNOT be racist or extremist BUT can contain explict lyrics. This also applies to Comedy acts.***

If you have some music or suggestions/questions post them here or send me a PM.

Elac

I know someone who might want to air his own original songs. What format should it be? (mp3, m3u, wav, etc.)

That would be cool.
It can be mp3. or .wav

What genre of music is it?

I'm not really sure. Actually I'm not even sure if it fits in one of your categorys. I'll ask him for some samples and I'll send them to you and you could decide.

It'll probably take some time because I don't see him too often. But don't worry. I'll get it one way or another.

I only found royalty-free content...

You have to pay for it once, and it will be licensed to your station for a unlimited amount of time, but you have to follow the artist/seller guidelines...

Oh yeah elac, you made a mistake in the thread title. It should be "Station" not "Sation", unless a "Sation" is a short-station? LOL

Thanks steve, I fixed the title.
I checked out the royalty free music BUT I don't want any fee's so that won't work.
I want to keep the operating costs to a minimum.
Just equipment, internet access and electricity.
No fee's for broadcasting or music.

Kupo, it can be of any genre.

I want the iRadio station to play different types of music at different times.
Also throwing some comedy into the mix would be nice.

The station will work in conjunction with the iRadio Shoutbox for requests, discussions and whatever else(like shout outs to people, mentioning of birthdays, events etc. etc.).
